Our candidature was presented in 2000 for an initial period of four years (2001-2005), which was then prolonged until 2006 with a budget of 1.444.152 Euros.

It is financed among:

• The European Union which will contribute 50% (722.076 Euros)

• INLUDES, the autonomous organism which depends on the Diputación Provincial of Lugo which will finance 26% (375.479.52 Euros)

• Consellería de Medio Ambiente de la Xunta de Galicia which will provide the rest, that is to say 24% (346.596.48 Euros)

The area included in the SCI has benefited from the programme LIFE-Nature by the project: Parga-Ladra-Támoga SCI: The recovery of woodland prone to swamping and its adjacent lake area, for period 2001-2006.

The project was granted to INLUDES by the European Union, INLUDES being the autonomous organism which depends on the Excma. Diputación Provincial of Lugo. This project also has as partner and cofinancer the Consellería de Medio Ambiente de la Xunta de Galicia, and also as the collaboration for development of actions and follow up and evolution of the project various research goups of the University of Santiago.
